Community CPR, First Aid Classes
Henderson County Department of Public Health offers free American Heart Association Heartsaver CPR, AED and First Aid classes.
Registration is required for each class.
Heartsaver® First Aid CPR AED Training
Heartsaver® First Aid CPR AED teaches participants to provide first aid, perform CPR, and use an automated external defibrillator (AED) safely and effectively.
The course is designed for anyone with little or no medical training who needs an OSHA-compliant course completion card or anyone who simply wants to be ready to respond in an emergency.

- Medical emergencies
- Injury emergencies
- Environmental emergencies
- Preventing illness and injury
- Adult CPR and AED use
- Choking help for an Adult, Child or Infant
- Drowning response and prevention
- Opioid-associated life-threatening emergencies
- Optional modules in Child CPR AED and Infant CPR
Upon completion of all course requirements, participants receive a Heartsaver First Aid CPR AED Course Completion Card which is valid for two years.

Classes are held at the Henderson County Department of Public Health Classroom, 1200 Spartanburg Hwy., Hendersonville, NC. Enter via the Immunization Clinic entrance. The classroom is to the left, second door on the right.

Each class runs from 1 to 5 p.m.
