Disaster Recovery Partnership (Long-Term Recovery Group)

As Henderson County continues to recover from Hurricane Helene, the County in partnership with The United Way, local non-profits and organizations have launched the Disaster Recovery Partnership (DRP) which is the County's Long Term Recovery Group.
The DRP will assist residents in many ways.  A Disaster Recovery Assistance Request Form is now available online and will connect you with a Disaster Case Manager

Renew NC 

The State of North Carolina is now accepting applications for the Renew NC Single-Family Housing Program to repair or rebuild homes in western North Carolina that were damaged or destroyed by Hurricane Helene. Application deadline is January 31, 2026. 

Community Resources 

You can dial 2-1-1 or visit the United Way of Henderson County's website for local community resources at www.liveunitedhc.org/community-resources. This page lists assistance available for housing repairs, tree cutting/removal, food pantries, utility assistance and more.
You can also visit the Community Foundation of Henderson County page to donate to the Hurricane Helene Relief and Recovery Fund.
