Emergency Management Experience West

The Emergency Management Experience West is an opportunity for local high school students to participate in a free day summer camp focused on Emergency Management topics. 

 

This is an expansion of the NC Emergency Management’s program in the Western Region of NC.   This is a program designed to encourage rising 9th to 12th grade female students to explore careers in emergency management and public safety.

 

Key Components

  • Learn about key emergency management and public safety jobs.
  • Explore careers through field trips in surrounding Counties.
  • Participate in a career fair and networking event.
  • There is no cost for students to participate in the program. Lunch will be provided for participants.
  • Participants will be dropped off and picked up daily at the Henderson County Emergency Services Building.
