Regional Transportation Public Meeting

The French Broad River MPO (Metropolitan Planning Organization) will be hosting public meetings to gather input on the Elevate 2050 planning effort. Elevate 2050 will serve as the region's Metropolitan Transportation Plan, which is a federally-required 25-year plan for the region that looks to 2050 and prioritizes transportation improvement projects over that timeframe. Having projects identified in this plan is a key requirement for federal funding and we want to make sure this plan reflects our region's priorities! 

For the fourth and final planned phase of public engagement, the MPO and the consultant team have drafted a list of projects to be included in the Draft Plan. The list of projects has been developed through previous public meetings, local input, as well as looking at other factors including safety, congestion, and access to employment.
