Services for the Blind

The North Carolina Services for the Blind provides the assistance of a community Social Worker to help family members, caregivers, civic groups, businesses, and other service providers gain access to information and services on topics related to vision loss, including:

  • Low vision aids, talking aides, and other adapted aids to assist people with vision loss
  • Technology assistance
  • Travel techniques for sighted people assisting people with vision loss
  • Support Groups
  • Library Services
  • Handicapped Placard
  • NC Fishing License

Many other services and valuable resources are available.
