Health Department Job Application Forms

Henderson County Department of Public Health requires all applicants to submit an application. The Henderson County application can be downloaded or obtained at the Henderson County Department of Public Health. Please read all of the instructions below carefully. 

Applications may be submitted in person, by mail, fax (828-697-4709) or email.

• Please provide a copy of your college transcript if applicable.
• Resumes may be attached to applications; however, resumes will not be accepted in lieu of a completed application.
• An application that says, “see resume” will be considered incomplete and invalid.
• Applications must be received by the Department of Public Health no later than 4:30 p.m. on the closing date. Applications sent by mail must be postmarked by the closing date.
• Accommodation requests must be made to the Dept. of Public Health Human Resources Administrative Assistant at 828-694-6016.

A pre-employment drug screen and criminal background check is required for all final candidates. Henderson County uses E-Verify for verification of legal employment eligibility status. Henderson County is an equal-opportunity employer.
