Intervention Coordinator

Duties and Responsibilities: This position provides early intervention services for Henderson County students struggling with substance use, co-occurring challenges, or mental health concerns; Works with identified youth and their family/caregivers to determine best course of action for intervention, justice diversion, and restitution if required; Conducts needs assessments within the SJP partnerships and coordinate referrals to community partners who specialize in behavioral health, substance use treatment, counseling, and wraparound services; Serves as the primary point of contact between schools, law enforcement, families, and community partners within the SJP framework; Monitors student progress and maintain regular communication with service providers to ensure continuity of care; Collaborates with school administrators, school resource officers, counselors, and Student Services staff to identify youth at risk of engaging in criminal behavior or entering the juvenile justice system; Maintain accurate case documentation in accordance with district and SJP guidelines; Supports intervention initiatives and promote awareness of available services throughout Henderson County Schools; Participates in SJP meetings, trainings, and cross-agency collaboration efforts as needed; Maintains data for reporting outcomes.

 

Qualifications: Experience working with youth, particularly those experiencing behavioral health or substance use challenges; Knowledge of community-based resources, treatment providers, and support services; Strong communication, coordination, and case-management skills; Ability to build rapport with adolescents, families, and multidisciplinary partners; Understanding of early intervention models, trauma-informed practices, and restorative approaches (preferred); Ability to work autonomously and independently with little direct supervision as well as be a highly effective team member; Excellent written and oral communication skills; Comfortable with performing public speaking and group presentations; Ability to stay calm and maintain professionalism in emergency crisis; Ability to maintain strict confidentiality and treat participants with respect, warmth, and positive regard; Sound professional judgment and initiative are required in the performance of duties.
