  • A Materials Collection Form is required for items in containers without a label. These items MUST be generated at a residence. No business or commercial waste will be accepted during this program.
  • No materials will be accepted before or after the designated program times. All events will conclude at noon. The last car in line at noon will be accepted and then the event line will close.

Businesses should contact Environmental Programs for disposal options.
  • Henderson County Solid Waste makes safety our #1 priority. Some of the chemicals we accept during these events can be dangerous and affect people in different ways. While we have trained, professional staff and safety personnel on-site handling these chemicals, we ask that residents unload their own vehicles onto the designated tables, but please- do not approach the white chemical testing tent at any point. We kindly ask that you do not bring pets to this event. We appreciate your cooperation and patience.
  • All gasoline must be brought in a gas can and residents will not get those back.

Acceptable HHW Items

According to NC DEQ, the following items are considered "household hazardous waste" and should not be disposed of in your home garbage. Also, these items should never be flushed down your sink or down a storm drain.
