Duties and Responsibilities: Provide intensive quality control monitoring of Economic Services programs; offer systems support to all Income Maintenance Caseworkers by acting as support to supervisors for training, development, and implementation for remedial classes for current staff;  performs an extensive amount of internal quality control checks, tabulates results, develops reporting mechanisms, and tracks Help Tickets in the NCFAST system; responsible for varied aspects of the Program Integrity functions required in all program areas and for monitoring, reporting and reconciling NCFAST Help Tickets; exceptional expertise in two of the programs in Economic Services and considerable expertise in the NCFAST program; interview/communicate with clients by phone, internet, mail, and fax and in person to secure information required to correctly determine eligibility for difficult cases and determining issues under the Program Integrity role; overseeing numerous quality and productivity reports and reconciling them to produce information for ES Section managers and supervisors. 

 

Qualifications:  Thorough knowledge of the program/areas of assignment.  Considerable knowledge of all agency and community programs and services which could affect the client/applicant.  Good mathematical reasoning and computational skills; ability to read, analyze and interpret rules, regulations, and procedures of varying complexity.  Ability to communicate with clients/applicants, the public at large and public officials to obtain data, and to explain and interpret rules, regulations, and procedures. Ability to work independently and prioritize work.   Ability to instruct and evaluate the work of lower-level employees.  Ability to perform caseworker functions under and within structured time frames.  Requires interviewing and communication skills as well as a complete understanding and demonstrated ability in NCFAST and the Federal Marketplace.   Must have strong organizational skills that are reflected not only in appearance of work materials but also reflected in the position’s task management.  Requires extensive experience in Windows environment.

 

Two years of experience as an Income Maintenance Caseworker; or an equivalent combination of training and experience.

Pay Range:  $21.36 - $35.19 per hour
