Duties and Responsibilities: This position is responsible for exceptional expertise (or ability to gain expertise) of the programs in Economic Services including Food and nutrition, Family and Children's Medicaid, Adult Medicaid, Long Term Care Medicaid, child Care Subsidy, Non-Emergency Medicaid Transportation programs, Low Income Energy Programs and of course, considerable expertise in the NCFast Program. This position must have ability to interview/communicate with clients by phone, internet, mail, fax and in person to secure information required to correctly determine eligibility for difficult cases and in the role of determining issues under the Program integrity role. This is required as the knowledge must be present to successfully train staff. Additionally, this position will be responsible for overseeing numerous quality and productivity reports and reconciling them to produce information and communicate with the Economic Services Section managers, supervisors, and auditors. To assure agency standards and state and federal guidelines are met. Additionally becoming the primary Agency contact with all Economic Services audits.

 

Qualifications: Knowledge of the program/areas of assignment. General knowledge of all agency and community programs and services which could affect the client/applicant. Good mathematical reasoning and computational skills. Ability to read, analyze, and interpret rules, regulations, and procedures. Ability to communicate with clients/applicants, the public at large and public officials to obtain data, and to explain and interpret rules, regulations, and procedures. Ability to instruct and to evaluate the work of lower-level employees. Ability to perform caseworker functions within structured time frames.

Required Minimum – Two years of experience as an IMC or an equivalent combination of training and experience.

Salary Range: $21.36 - $35.19

Hiring salary will be determined based on qualifications and internal equity.
