UNC Interlibrary loan

UNC Chapel Hill University Library has launched a free interlibrary loan program for public libraries in NC.

Henderson County Public Library cardholders can request to borrow books or articles from UNC Chapel Hill collections. UNC will not lend other formats (DVDs, etc.).

Eligibility

  • Adult Henderson County Library cardholders
  • Must live, work, or attend school in Henderson County
  • No outstanding bills for Lost or Damaged items.

Important Things to Know

  • This is a free service.
  • Only one request can be made at a time.
  • Allow at least 2-3 weeks for all requests to be filled.
  • The replacement fee for lost or damaged material is $100.
  • Lending period is determined by UNC. The lending period may be shortened if the book is recalled.
  • You will be notified when books have arrived. Articles will be emailed or printed for pickup. Printing fees apply.
