Ecusta Trail

The Ecusta Trail, a breathtaking multi-use greenway that winds through the heart of Henderson County, North Carolina. The first six miles of this transformative trail stretch from Downtown Hendersonville to Horse Shoe, offering visitors a unique blend of natural beauty, local history, and outdoor recreation.

The construction on the first six miles began in December 2023, with completion in July 2025. The Ecusta Trail is part of a larger vision to create a 19-mile greenway connecting Hendersonville to Brevard, enhancing recreational opportunities and boosting local tourism.

The second phase of the Ecusta Trail will add approximately five more miles of trail within Henderson County, bringing the total length closer to its ultimate goal of 19 miles, connecting Hendersonville to Brevard
