The Health Department is offering flu vaccine to the public. The flu vaccine is available for anyone 6 months and older as well as the high-dose vaccine for individuals 65 and older. Please call 828-694-6015 to make an appointment.

Everyone 6 months and older should get a flu vaccine every year by the end of October, if possible. However, getting vaccinated later is OK. Vaccination should continue throughout the flu season, even in January or later.

Contact your healthcare provider or visit www.vaccines.gov to find a convenient location to get a flu vaccination near you.
