STATE OF NORTH CAROLINA                                                  BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS

COUNTY OF HENDERSON                                                                                            JANUARY 5, 2007

 

Members of the Henderson County Board of Commissioners and staff met for a drive to Statesville North Carolina. One Commissioner, Commissioner Chuck McGrady, met members of the Board of Public Education at the Central School Office on Fourth Ave. early for a 7:30 a.m. departure to Statesville.

 

Attending from Henderson County were: Vice-Chairman Charlie Messer, Commissioner Larry Young, Commissioner Chuck McGrady, Commissioner Mark Williams, County Manager Steve Wyatt, and Assistant County Manager Selena Coffey.

 

Attending from the Board of Public Education were: Chairman Ervin Bazzle, Vice-Chair Melissa Mauer, School Board members Mary Louise Corn and Jane Orwoll, as well as some school staff.

 

SCHOOL VISITS

The above attendees toured the following school facilities:

 

Third Creek Elementary located at 361 East Barkley Road, Statesville, NC.

Woodland Heights Elementary located at 288 Forest Lake Blvd., Mooresville, NC.

 

Following the tours, attendees traveled back to Hendersonville.
