Uniform Patrol
The uniformed Patrol Division of the Henderson County Sheriff's Office stands ready to serve the citizens and businesses of Henderson County by providing a partnership with them, to investigate crime, enforce the law and safeguard lives and property. Our highly trained and dedicated team of professionals will provide this service by proactive and courteous interactions with our community.
The work performed by this division is massive in its scope. While usually occurring in a motor vehicle, deputies may also respond on foot, ATV or motorcycle to calls for police service. Officers assigned to this division are the most visible symbols of all county services and considered the foundations on which other police services are delivered.
Who we are...
The Henderson County Sheriff's Office uniformed Patrol Division consists of full time patrol deputies totaling four squads (Baker, Charlie, David, and Edward). Specialty Patrol teams include Courthouse Security, Mills River Deputies and Animal Enforcement. The Patrol Division manages extra-security details. All squads conduct traffic enforcement by enforcing traffic laws and enhancing highway safety and public education.
Upon request, any and all services within the patrol division of the Henderson County Sheriff's Office are available to other agencies at their request through mutual aid.
