Warehouse Coordinator

(This position is classified as Project to assist with hurricane relief efforts. The length of this assignment will be 3 -6 months.)

 

Duties and Responsibilities: This position Organizes, maintains and oversees the organization of the Henderson County Warehouse to ensure maximum efficiency and safety. This position is also responsible for oversight of order fulfillment, monitoring staff utilizing heavy equipment, basic logistics coordination and coordination of cleanup efforts within the warehouse. This position will report to the Emergency Management Rescue Manager

Essential Functions/Typical Tasks: (These are intended only as illustrations of the various types of work performed.  The omission of specific duties does not exclude them from the position if the work is similar, related, or a logical assignment to the position.)

  • Loads orders in various types of vehicles
  • Fulfills orders as requested.
  • Management of volunteers and their schedules.
  • Coordinating the delivery and removal of dumpsters.
  • Stack and palletize all donations.
  • Performs related tasks as required.
  • Dispose of all expired items.
  • Ensures the warehouse is organized and clean, following proper safety and security measures.
  • Provides oversight for loading and unloading of any goods within the warehouse.
  • Monitor and maintain equipment and machinery in the warehouse.
  • Prepare and generate regular reports on warehouse activities.

Qualifications: A thorough working knowledge of warehouse management; working knowledge of computers and other IT components; knowledge of equipment and supplies; ability to communicate effectively orally and in writing; good interpersonal skills and ability to exercise tact to interact with other agencies and members of the public; ability to attend work regularly.

Requirements: Graduation from high school or GED or an equivalent combination of training and experience which provides the necessary skills, knowledge and abilities.

Salary Range: $23.56 - $28.21

Pay Grade: 73A

Hiring salary will be determined based on qualifications and internal equity.
