Computer Support Technician II

Duties and Responsibilities:  Performs the responsible technical work necessary to maintain the integrity and continued operation of County personal computers and related peripheral equipment.  Work involves the installation of software and hardware on personal computers including the setup of new equipment, and the training and support of end users. Serves as IT help desk attendant; answers phone/e-mail requests for assistance; resolves problems remotely if possible; refers complex problems to appropriate network administrators.  Assists in installing, troubleshooting, and repairing hardware and software and providing instruction to end users on the proper use of computer equipment. 

Qualifications:  Any combination of education and experience equivalent to graduation from a two (2) year college or technical school with major course work in computer science or related field, two (2) years technical support experience with knowledge of Microsoft operating systems and personal computer systems.

Salary Range:   $19.75 - $33.83
